Pam had been looking for Jade all over the place, and had been unable to find her. As her last resort, Pam stepped into the library and spotted Jade at one of the tables near the back.
"Jade," she said quietly as she sat down across from her. "I need to talk to you." She waited patiently for Jade to put her book down.

Jade causally glanced up from her book to see Pam standing above her. She looked back to the book and flipped a page, but when Pam didn't leave, she set the book aside. "Yes?" She questioned in her usual bland, empty tone. It seemed that she had reverted into herself in the last five months.
"Can I help you, Pamela?" Jade had one finger stuck in the book, keeping the page marked.

"Well..." she began. She shook her head and just said it. "I'm worried about Li Na and I need your help."
After much thinking (maybe too much thinking) Pam had decided that Li Na would have naturally told her best friend... and Pam didn't want to be the only one helping Li Na. If she messed up...

"Yes? What about Li Na?" Jade asked plainly, wondering if her accusations were correct. If there was something wrong with Li Na...then... "Is it about...that?"

Pam raised an eyebrow. That? Then she must know. So she went ahead and said it... stuttering a bit.
"Well... if you kn-know about that then... I mean, i-it's not her fault, I don't think..." She shook her head. She could see by the annoyed look on Jade's face that she wasn't making any sense.
"I don't know how to help Li Na." she said plainly. "I know she wants to keep her secret," she said, dropping to a whisper, "but... someone will find out eventually. And what am I supposed to tell her when McGonogall finds out she's pregnant?"

The storm clashed in Jade's eyes before she could stop it, turning them into turbulent pits of green ice. So, the little whore was pregnant. With Halen's child. Merlin and every God out there help them both if the child didn't turn out right.
"Well, when McGonagall finds out Li Na is to be sent home. She knows which home. She is to tell Linzy, and Linzy will help her through the rest of her schooling, along with the birthing at St. Mungo's." Jade instructed Pam, not going into detail. This would be Jade's parting gift to Li Na. Hopefully, one day, they could become friends again.
Jade's heart all but closed up. There was the betrayal again. "Tell me, Pamela, am I that worthless of a person?" Jade asked out of the blue, after staring straight ahead for a few minutes. "Not that it matters, but I don't think you'll be seeing me this time next week. Tell anyone who asks good-bye for me."
Resting her head against the back of the chair, effectually placing her face in the shadows, Jade smiled faintly at Pam. "Ask me whatever question you need to. About me and Li Na, or the baby and what you're to do, or whatever." She said, her eyes gleaming brightly in the darkness like a cat's do. Except, hers were partly filled with tears.

"I-I'm sorry." Pam said nervously. "I... I thought you knew..."
It was too late now...
"I don't understand... you are not a worthless person. I... uh..." She faltered for a few seconds and said, "I'm not sure what to ask now, but... if you are leaving... we'll have to keep in touch somehow, you can't leave me to help Li Na alone... I don't want to hurt her."

Jade smiled thinly at Pam. "It's fine. I had my suspicion. Don't feel bad, word would have gotten out once morning sickness started anyway." She shrugged her shoulders, propping her feet on the table.
"Don't worry about that. Just ask your questions. I'll attempt to answer them to the best of my ability. Yes, when I leave I'll keep in touch with you, but you can never write my name on anything. Jaden Aimes will no longer live in this world. If it's something that requires my name, use the muggle mail."
"It won't take much to hurt Li Na, especially now. So, watch yourself and others around her. But, don't treat her like an invalid. Let her do some things. However, she is not, under any circumstances, to leave the ground. I don't care if it's on a broom, or climbing a ladder, she is not to do it."

"I understand..."
"Ok, I won't let her leave school grounds. You're right, I wouldn't want her to get hurt... I won't write your name on anything... Muggle mail..." she snapped her fingers a few times, trying to figure out how she would manage that. "I will have to think about it..." She paused for a second, then asked, "I will tell her about Linzy but... I do need to know..." she trailed off and started again, "I don't have any specific questions right now. I'll just buddy up with her, I guess... keep her out of harm's way." she shrugged and said, "Well... I have to go now."
