The sun was about an hour from setting and Marsol found herself, in an almost empty house. Her younger brother Javier was also here. The rest of the family had went to a late night showing of a new Spanish film. Marsol and Javier had stayed behind, they were more relaxed and going out with the family was just too much of a hassel so they always chose to stay behind. Marsol walked down the dark oak stair case, a black jacket in her arm. She slowly put it on, multi-tasking. She walked in front of the mirror, straightening the collar on her jacket. "Javier, vamonos." she yelled her, distenct Spainish accent shinning through. She smoothed out her hair and sighed as she heard no sound. "Javier, ven aca." she said with a little more force.
She smiled as she saw her little brother running down the stairs. She tossled his hair, knowing that he hated it. "Vas muy despacio ." she said laughing. She walked to the back door, opening and see a beautiful fall day. The leaves were in the most beautiful colors: Vibranet reds, Dark browns, and soft golds. Many had now blanketed the ground. She pointed and said "El arbol es muy bonita." She walked over and picked up a beautiful red leave, twisting it around my the stem. She continued walking, letting the leave drift to the floor.

"No quiero salir..." Javier mumbled as he dove to get away from the hair-tossling. He hated that. "I was happier in my room, you know." Looking out the door, he added, "Ok... so it's a nice day..." He followed her out the door, pulling on a jacket as he did so, and picked up a dried up, ugly brown leaf from the floor. He held it up in front of his face as they walked, looking at every aspect of it almost as if he were studying it. Then, in a very decided tone, he said, "Se parece mucho a ti." ((It looks a lot like you)) He smirked and kept on walking.

She smirked as he told her that she looked like the leave. "Well aren't you the regular comdemian." she said in a mocking tone. "You think you are so clever." she said. She continued to walking a little angry. She smiled as she saw an old man with large nose hair and hairy ears. "That is you when you grow older." she said laughing. "So I would rather look like the leaf, Mr. Hairy." she said laughing. She was suprised when she saw her older brother walking out of a store.
She turned her attention to him. "Look it is Francisco." she said pointing. "Should we go talk to him?" she asked her younger brother. She already knew that they would end up talking to him but she decided to ask. She smiled as she shook her head not even waiting for the answer. "Francisco." she yelled walking up to him. "Que pasa?" she asked smiling.
Francisco was suprised to hear his name being called and even more suprised when he saw his sister. An evil grin rolled over his face as he realized that this was too perfect. Not only one sister but his brother too. The Dark Lord would be too proud and he knew it. He smiled and hugged his sister. "Nada." he said smiling.

Javier frowned as he glanced in the old hairy man's direction and was about to tell her how she looked the nose hairs on the man's face (as he was, for once, running out of good comebacks) when he saw Francisco step out of a shop. "Nada?" asked Javier. "I would be doing nothing, too, if a certain somebody hadn't dragged me out of the house." His smile told that he was only joking, it was a fairly nice day. "Any news from work?" he asked Francisco. He liked to listen to some of the strange things his brother had to do as an auror, and always hoped to hear a persecution story or a story about a fight (as long as Francisco came out of it ok).

Francisco smiled as he brother asked about his "job." As far as they knew, Francisco was still an Auror but in reality he had quit to become a DE. "No nothing new, suprisingly." he said. But really there was somthing, new, something huge. The Dark Lord was skeptical seeing as how he was once a Auror. So he told Francisco to prove it by killing one of his simblings, the Dark Lord knew how much his family meant to him. But if he was a true follower he would do it, or at least that was what he was told by the Dark Lord.
"So are you two busy, becuase we could go visit the Shrieking Shack like old times." he suggested to his younger siblings. "That sounds good." Marsol said smiling. "What do you say Javier?" she asked curiously.

Javier wasn't really in the mood for going to the shrieking shack, but he new he would hear no end to the argument if he said no... so he said yes. "Okay, vamos. Pero rapido que tengo frio!" He set off on a run towards the Shack, where he hoped it might be a little bit warmer. I should have grabbed my other jacket...
He stopped and looked back to see if Marsol and Francisco were following him.

"Tengo frio. Tu es una chica." Fransisco said in a mocking tone. He usually picked on his younger siblings. He smiled as the Shrieking Shack was in sight. He knew what had to be done and he was getting a bit ansty wanting to get it over with so that he could report to the Dark Lord as soon as possible. Marsol looked at her brother who seemed a bit to excited for her taste. "Why are you fidgiting?" she asked annoyed. It bothered her when people got like that.
Fransisco darted an evil stare her way, which was enough to sut Marsol up. Her brother was in a strange mood and she couldn't figure out why. She opened the door to the Shrieking Shack, and said "Javier lets go look upstairs." she said running up them. "Yes lets." Fransisco said in a strange tone which caused Marsol to look at him, fear in her eyes. She quickly shook it out of her head realizing that she was overreacting.

Javier watched this exchange of words with nothing but amusement plastered on his face. He also got the feeling, however, that something was a bit... odd. Francisco never acted like that. He looked like a crappy villain in those Muggle cartoons, the ones that always snicker and reveal their evil plans way too soon. He shoook that thought away from his head and climbed the stairs after them. But just to be sure, he kept his hand near his wand.

Marsol entered the first room, after Javier, Fransisco not far behind. Then she heard a noise that knocked her off edge. The door slamming and a turn of the lock, all with an easy flick of the wand, that Fransisco now became amused with. Then his voice broke the silence. "You see, I have to prove my loyalty and the Master said that the only way to do that was to kill someone I loved. I love both of you and by killing both my loyalty will double." he said a sick smile on his face.
Marsol stood there, dumbfounded. "Wh-who" was all she could get out.

Javier just stared, but did not move his hand any closer to his wand. He kept thinking it was a joke, it had to be a joke, didn't it? It would be the perfect trip to the Shrieking Shack. Just... Francisco's face made it look too real. It was distorted into a wicked grin that made Javier feel sick. He realized what this was all about. He quickly came to the realization there wasn't much he could do against an auror. "H-hold on a minute," he stuttered. "W-what's t-this about l-loyalty you're talking about?" He kept his hand at his side, so Francisco wouldn't know he was ready to pull his wand out. He glanced at Marsol to see if she would do the same.

She exchanged a frightened look with Javier and got an idea as to what he was doing, she followed suit reaching for her wand. She was trying to appear casul. "So what are the Auror's going to think of you switching sides?" she asked her fiesty side slowly emerging.
Fransisco had that stupid grin plastered to his face. "I am alined with the Dark Lord himself and it is the best move of my life, everyone knows that he will be in power. So I have been faced with a challege that I will overcome, with the help of the Dark Lord. I have to kill you." he said twisting the wand.

Javier knew there wasn't much he could do against his brother. He was only a fourth year... supposed to start his fourth year, actually. 3 years of magical experience hadn't taught him any curses that could help him much. But he was clever. When Francisco's attention was focused on his sister, he grabbed his wand and muttered very softly, "Confundo". He hoped, as he cast it, that Francisco would not know what was coming at him. Just in case, he prepared himself to cast the shield charm he had learned at the D.A. meetings.
((“Confundo” is Latin for “to confuse”. Used to confuse an object or person, to make them believe what the spell caster wants them to.))

Marsol heard her little brother use his first spell on Fransisco. She then thought a spell of her own, watching it work without the movement of her lips. "Immobilise" She watched her older brother freeze.
She quickly turned to Javier. "That won't hold him for long. We need to figure something out fast." she said as she watched her older brother fighting against the curse that had been laid on him.
"Immobilise" means to prevent moving.
Stops an object moving. The name of this spell comes from the films rather than the books but is included here as it is very likely to be the "clever Freezing Charm" used by Hermione to immobilise Cornish Pixies in Professor Lockhart's first Defence Against the Dark Arts lesson. See also "Freezing Charm".

"Accio wand," said Javier. But nothing happened. He gaped at Marsol. It should have worked. Francisco's wand should be in his hands now. But it wasn't. "Must have erected a shield charm as soon as your jinx hit him." he said as he looked hurriedly around the room. Come on, come on... think! He grabbed an old pot sitting on a table, pictured Hogsmeade, pointed his wand, and muttered almost inaudibly, "Portus." He gestured at Marsol to follow him as he grabbed the porthole.
If they were successful and did indeed appear at Hogsmeade, he knew that Francisco would soon find them once the spell wore off. But it was best to get help than to try to deal with him alone.
