It was that time of year again. Pam woke up sluggishly, ten minutes late already. She flung the covers off and lazily slid her legs off the bed. She sat there, looking at herself in the mirror and examined her hair... It could be worse, she thought sarcastically. She got up and went to the closet, picked out her outfit (black jeans and a black t-shit with the words "DO I LOOK LIKE I CARE" written in red on the front). With a flick of her wand, she fixed up her hair. With another flick, her teeth were clean, white and shiny. She examined herself again, grabbed her trunk and some money, and apparated near a sign that read [shadow=red,left,300]Station 1 and 3/4[/shadow]. No one had seen her, as usual. Stupid Muggles... She stepped across the barrier, sighed in anticipation of a wonderful year, so much better than all the others, stepped into the train and began looking for a compartment.

Li Na woke up on time. She slowly got out of bed, her legs swinging. She gathered what she was going to be wearing and then headed for the shower, returning an hour later looking squeaky clean. She gathered her belongings and walked outside. She was now 17 so she could appear to the station which she did and she went into the train.
Most people were wondering why Jade wasn't with her. They hadn't been on the best of terms because Li Na had slept with Halen, who was unkowlingly Jade's boyfriend. She didn't know that they had gotten back together and Halen had forgotten to inform her of it. Jade had blamed her a lot for it and finally Li Na didn't feel like taking it anymore. She went to a cabin and peeked in "Is there room for me?" she asked.

After practically no searching, Pam had found the cabin she rode every year. It had started as a nasty tradition - started riding it with friends, but after her family broke up she shooed everyone away, shutting herself up in the same cabin, bitterly, every year. She murmured, "locomotor trunk" and lifted it carefully onto the rack above. Almost as soon as she was done, she was startled by a voice behind her. She turned around and saw the infamous Li Na Shing... she knew her from reputation more than anything. She had sent that jerk Halen to Azkaban. Other rumors said she was a slut, but anyone who kicked Halen's a$$ was ok with Pam. "Yeah, I don't think anyone else is going to sit here, so you're more than welcome to." She had a faint trace of a smile on her face. It was the most she could muster, so the remark may have seemed rude. She took a closer look at Li Na. She looked kinda fat, but her arms and face weren't... so Pam figured she was pregnant. She cocked one eyebrow and offered no other remark.

"Okay." she said sitting across from a girl, she had seen a few times. She wasn't so sure about her name. She smiled and said "Hello, my name is Li Na Shing." she said smiling. She was excited about the return to Hogwarts and hoped to get a big break but little did she know that the burden would be adding. She didn't know that she was pregnant she just thought she had put on some much needed weight.
She patiently waited for the girl's name. Her stomach began to grumble saying "feed me." She smiled and chuckled "I guess I am hungry." she said. She heard the wheels of the trolley car and bought a pastry and pumpkin juice, happily munching along.

"I'm Pamela Ramirez... Pam for short, just so everyone can pronounce it. I've heard your name, of course. Seen you several times before." She perked up a bit when the food trolley came along. She hadn't had breakfast, so she bought a small bag full of pastries. "You look almost as hungry as I feel." she said, taking a bite of pumpkin pie.

"Hi Pam. I am Li Na Shing." she said smiling. She truthfully didn't fully recognize the girl. "I haven't seen you around much but I am horrible with names and faces so it makes things very hard." she said smiling as she took a large bite of her pastry.
"Yeah I am really hungry. I didn't get to eat this morning, because I was in a rush to get out." she said. The truth was she wanted to aviod Jade and to do that she had to leave very early, thus not getting an breakfast. "I just can't wait to get to Hogwarts." she said. She knew that the seventh year was hard but Hogwarts brought a comfort for her, it was a place where she could be safe now.

"I was also in a rush." said Pam, putting down the pastry with a look of disgust on her face - obviously remembering something unpleasant. "Ever since my aunt and uncle began to doubt my "potential", it's been a living hell at home. I'm glad to be away from them." She frowned, shook her head, and took another bite of the sweet pumpkin pie. She was being to harsh again, too direct. She couldn't help it much. Her family had failed to understand her feelings when she had most needed understanding.

She shook her head in agreement. She knew what it was like to live in a hell and she did unfortuanltly her life was one at the moment. One stupid move made it that way and she wasn't even sorry for it because Jade had gotten so mad and she was just tired of it. She almost thought she did it to be spiteful but she wasn't sure.
"Trust me, I know hell." she said. Her whole life had been it from living with her parents, to dating Halen, and know ruining her best friends trust. Life was all around a mess and she knew it but she didn't feel like glueing it back together. She just liked staring at the mess.

Pam paused for a second, put her pastry back in the bag and looked Li Na straight in the eyes. "I need to know one thing about you." she said plainly. "Do you side with the Dark Lord?" Her eyes seemed to be begging for Li Na to say no, to say she was on the good side. She was almost trying to search Li Na's soul and mind. But she was a Slytherin. Pam felt as though she should be re-sorted, maybe into Gryffindor, maybe into Hufflepuff even. It was stupid of her to ask the girl so suddenly, but she'd finally made up her mind. She was on the good side, but Derek's death had left her with many doubts about herself. She was terrified that if she got to know people who didn't believe as she did, that she would lose her faith and turn back. That was the last thing she wanted. Displeasing her uncle gave her a kind of devilish pleasure. She had always wanted to gain the upper hand on them, to cause them pain, and she'd managed that by telling them of her wish to become an auror. It also felt like the right thing to do, and she couldn't let a friendly relationship get in the way - no matter how much it hurt.

"No, I don't side with the Dark Lord." she said very plainly. She had never agreed with it and she had an idea that her parents did, she could just tell but it wasn't something she was into. She knew that her parents would never trust her with that information. That is why they never came out and just said it.
"Do you?" she asked. If the girl had to know she wondered what side she was on. Most people were too afraid to admit what side they were on but she wasn't afraid to say it. In a way she knew that she would never be touched after all she was Draco's first love, her parents were DE's, and so was Halen. She wasn't sure if that would stop them but why shouldn't it?

"No." said Pam with such fury and force that she was sure she startled Li Na. Realizing her harshness, she said a few moments later, "sorry, I... I'm not really myself today." she chuckled, frowned, and got the slice of pumpkin pie out again.

"It is fine. The subject usually upsets me too." she said simply. She finished off her pastry, gulping down the last bit of juice and smiling as she was no longer feeling the pains of hunger. She settled deeper into her seat, getting comfortable and wishing the long would end soon. Li Na easily got impatient.
((Now I am going to say that you can tell she is sligtly preggers))

Pam smiled a bit. She finished her pastry, crumpled up her bag and threw it in a small trash can in the corner. The train gave a lurch and began to move. Pam turned around to ask Li Na a question and froze. She didn't know why at first, she was sure she had seen something. Taking a half-second to make sure, she realized she might just be right. Before she stared for too long, she looked out the window at the landscape rushing by faster and faster each second as the train sped up. Pam was sure Li had noticed how she had stared.

Li Na saw how Pam had stared at her and it was truly awkard. She looked back and gave a simple "What?" she didn't know what the problem was and honestly Pam had frightened her by staring and then pretending as if nothing was wrong. She looked confussed, not realizing that she had taken notice to something Li Na had only recently been aware of. She was pregnant and now she was slowly, starting to show. She knew that people would notice sooner or later but she didn't know it would be so soon;

Pam looked back at her uneasily and said, "Well, I don't really know how to put it... it's just, for a second there... I hope you'll forgive me for saying this... I could have sworn you're pregnant." Pam had gotten quieter with each word, making the last one barely audible.
